Stokes Family Memorial Scholarship

The Stokes Family Memorial Scholarship Award

The Stokes Family Memorial Scholarship Award was initiated in 2020. The scholarship of $1500 is granted each year to a Black senior football player. The award was established by Taylor Stokes (CHS 1969). It stands as a perpetual legacy recognizing Taylor’s academic and athletic heritage at Clarksville High where he attended and played football (1966-1969). It is also in honor of his deceased brother, Richard, who played football at Clarksville High, and the Stokes family who were devoted to the CHS community. The award is designed to reach back and give some young man a helping hand in life. We are blessed to be a blessing to others.

This award has been presented to the following players:

  • 2022 Jamar Carnell
  • 2021 Jared Buchanan
